Ethical Collections
Preserving Human Dignity Collecting money from past
due accounts is never easy. ARG's professionally trained staff and automated
collection system make this task much less painful. ARG's approach to the
collection of accounts is based on preserving human dignity (PHD). Collectors
are trained in the art of persuasion arriving at a mutually agreeable
resolution.
Compliance
Our primary policy is that of compliance. Our collectors sign a statement
of compliance contractually agreeing to work all accounts in adherence to State
and Federal regulations. We do not have a "one size fits all" operation. Each
program is customized to meet the needs of our clients and require very little
maintenance. These programs allow us to maximize recovery of lost dollars and
minimize expenses for our clients. Reputation Reputation is an important part of our
business environment when we handle our client's money. The reputation of ARG
is impeccable. Procedure
All debtors are mailed a validation notice in accordance with the Fair Debt
Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). The account is then assigned to a collector.
At the time of initial contact, the debtor research will determine the debtor's
ability and desire to pay. A majority of accounts will have collectability
determined in 60 days with a plan on how it can be accomplished.
Payment arrangements must be in an amount that is affordable for that
debtor on a consistent basis with reviews for increases at periodic intervals.
When only part of a promised amount is received, the collector is notified
immediately and the debtor is contacted in an attempt to resolve the
discrepancy. Payment schedules are monitored. Skiptracing ARG utilizes a number of resources for
skiptracing. We are on-line with a national skiptracing service providing
neighbors, common last names (possible relationships), associates and current
tenants of the address and information from the national address system with
the US Postal Service. We also have all the white pages, yellow pages, zip
codes and 800 numbers for the entire United States. |
